Vacaville club has strong tourney
The Vacaville Wrestling Club qualified seven wrestlers to represent Team California after a successful showing at the Greco State Championships in Temecula Valley recently. Jon Fife won a title. Cameron Lane and Ben Holmes were second while Garrett Walton, Zach Walton, Hudson Buck and Taylor Hodel were all third.

County clerk expects surge of applications once ruling is final

Local school officials cautious
At first glance, the governor's revised budget doesn't seem as grim as first predicted, but local school officials remain cautious. "My first reaction would be that it appears it is not going to be as dire as proposed in January," said John Niederkorn, assistant superintendent for business administrative services for the Vacaville Unified School District.

Falcon front and center
Josh Sheridan has been the center of attention for most of his baseball life. OK, shortstop is a little left of center. But suffice to say the Vacaville High School graduate has always been on his toes. Now, center - as in center field - doesn't seem so bad, even if less than half as many baseballs come his way.
